The RF95A is used with our RF300-series radios. It provides an RF communication interface between the data logger and a RF300-series radio. Each RF95A contains dip switches that allow the user to address the modem with a number between 0 and 255.
The RF95A and the primary transceivers it supported, the RF300-series radios, were replaced on our standard price lists by the RF310-series radios and RF310M modem in June 2002.

The RF95A had earlier replaced the RF95 in all applications [the RF95A retained the RF95's item number]. The RF95A is backward compatible with existing Campbell Scientific RF systems but not compatible with RF310-series radios.
If RF95A modems are used in a network containing RF500M modems or RF500B base stations then the RF95A modems must use the -TD PROM; the data loggers must also be Table Data (-TD) or PakBus (-PB) versions.
The RF95A requires a 5 V power supply from the data logger's CS I/O port or from a PS100/A100 (non-data-logger repeater site).

Usually, yes. Contact Campbell Scientific for a return material authorization number (RMA) and instructions for returning the unit for repair. Additional information is available on the Repair and Calibration page.
No. The CR1000KD is designed specifically for use on the CS I/O port of the CR800, CR1000, and CR6 dataloggers.
If the RF modem has a CS I/O connector, then it should be compatible with the CR10X without the use of an SC932A. Ensure that the RF modem’s firmware is compatible with the CR10X firmware.
Note: RF modems that are not sold by Campbell Scientific will only interface with a CR10X via an SC932A or an SC105.
