The city of River Heights monitors two reservoirs and three pump houses using a CR10X and Freewave spread-spectrum radios. The control system's primary function is to keep the reservoir water level between high and low set points. A CR10X datalogger at the largest pump house acts as the master to control the system. Status can be checked via a voice-synthesized telephone modem. The system will generate an alarm call to an employee's cellular phone based on a problem with reservoir level, a failure in communication between sites, or low system battery voltage. Reservoir set points can be changed by a PC running RTMC.
