Can a USB-to-9-Pin Male RS-232 Cable (pn 17394) be used between a laptop and a CR10 datalogger, which has a storage module (SM192)?
I recently bought a laptop to replace an older laptop we used to communicate with four 21X Microloggers®. I discovered the new laptop did not have an RS-232 DB-9 port, but it does have two USB ports. I understand that the CS I/O port on the 21X is not standard RS-232 protocol. Will the 17394 cable work with the 21X or do you have another cable that will? Or do I need to do something else?
I'm looking for a wind monitor (speed and direction) that could be used with a tethered balloon system. The main feature I'm concerned with (aside from weight) is a built-in datalogger. Would you have anything that would meet this requirement or do all your systems require direct wiring to a separate datalogger.
